Cookies
Cookies are the one thing that genuinely differs from site to site, so this page says which is which rather than averaging it into a single claim that would be wrong somewhere.

Which of our sites use analytics
Where we say opt-in, the analytics script is not loaded at all unless you accept it — it is not loaded and then told to stay quiet. Where we say none, there is no banner, because there is nothing to ask you about.
| Site | Analytics |
|---|---|
| horizech.com | Google Analytics, opt-in |
| about.horizech.com | None |
| policies.horizech.com | None |
| horizech.co.uk | None |
| captainpassword.com | Google Analytics, opt-in |
| fileheron.com | Google Analytics, opt-in |
Strictly necessary cookies
Our apps set a session cookie when you sign in — without it you could not stay signed in, so it is strictly necessary and does not require consent. Our hosting and network provider may also set a small number of cookies to keep sites available and to protect them from automated abuse. Neither is used to track you.
What the analytics do
Where you have accepted them, we use Google Analytics to see which pages get read and roughly where visitors come from. We use it to decide what to write more of. Each site reports into its own separate property.
Changing your mind
Every site that asks has a Cookie settings link in its footer that reopens the choice. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; none of our marketing sites depend on them, so nothing will break.
